Real Estate

I am a Realtor with Woods Bros in Lincoln Nebraska. Woods Bros Realty is a full services agency and, in my opinion, is the most professional and experienced real estate agency in Lincoln. There are a variety of real estate agencys to choose from, I chose Woods Bros to provide the best service to my clients.

In addition to being a licensed realtor I am a video producer and journalist. I now specialize in making videos for my real estate clients and for community organizations and for projects that I support.

 Experience

Journalism, Video Production & Interactive Media

I've made interactive museum exhibits, promotional, informational and educational videos. I've been a TV news reporter and I produced television and radio programs on Lincoln's Faith and Culture. Recent projects include a feature length documentary produced for the Lincoln Arts Council called Stories of Home. It's about a public art project where 12 artists create works inspired by the stories of 12 families. Now I am also my own client, making videos for dougboydrealtor.com.

Government & Education

For approximately 10 years I worked as a media specialist with the City of Lincoln Citizen Information Center producing Government and Education cable television shows. We served Lincoln city government and agencies for Lanccaster county and the State of Nebraska. I have also worked with Educational instutions such as Lincoln Public Schools and the University of Nebraska. I served as the Film Officer for the City of Lincoln and worked as a producer, writer, director and editer, managing crews and covering events for an average of 70 productions annually.

Agriculture

I grew up on a farm and continue to particpate in a family farm corporation. I know about hard work, self employment and the power of nature. I owe a lot to my Dad and have a great deal of respect for anyone who makes a living off the land.

Community Service & Involvement

Since the energy crisis in the 70's I've been interested in energy efficiency and alternatives. I'm glad to support Lincoln Green by Design as a way to move forward on this issue of critical importance.

During my time with the City of Lincoln I developed a close working relationshipship with the Dept. of Urban Development where I learned about the challenges and issues of affordable housing. In 2006 I was part of a group that formed Affordable Housing Initiatives, a non-profit that works to rehab distressed properties to sell to families.
